AI features

In one sentence: RIQS uses artificial intelligence (AI) to translate content into each user's own language and to answer questions about documents in RiQS-Pedia. Menu: No own menu. AI appears as buttons inside other modules (Translate, Ask RiQS AI). · Status: Mixed: see the table below

What it is

Many RIQS customers have teams who speak different languages. A task written in German may be read by a colleague whose first language is Portuguese. AI translation lets that colleague see the text in their own language with one click.

The second feature is an AI assistant called RiQS AI. You ask it a question in normal words, for example "What is our procedure for cleaning the autoclave?". It searches the documents in RiQS-Pedia and answers. It also shows the documents its answer comes from.

AI use costs money for the provider, so it is measured in tokens (small pieces of text). Each organisation buys a token budget as part of its subscription.

Rules to know

  • Translation goes into your native language only. If your profile has no native language, you see "User native language not found".
  • Supported languages:
  • English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese
  • Russian, Ukrainian, Serbian, Croatian, Albanian, Bulgarian
  • Turkish, Czech, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian
  • Tamil, Tagalog
  • Translations are not saved into the item. The original text stays as written. A translation you already made on the page is reused without using new tokens.
  • No tokens, no translation. When the token budget is used up you see "Token limit exceeded". When the subscription has expired, translation stops too.
  • Budgets exist at organisation and unit level. The organisation buys tokens and can share them out to units.
  • Low-balance alerts. The feature list says admins and Power Users get an alert when tokens run low.
  • RiQS AI and confidentiality. The rule is that RiQS AI only uses documents you are allowed to see (see Open questions).
  • RiQS AI does not keep chat history after you close the panel. Every question and answer is still logged for usage counting.
